Jon is well-known for keeping the temperature down, being firm when necessary and working matters through to a negotiated resolution.  He looks forward to addressing the changes in the practice brought about by the 2011 alimony reform law.

His articles on negotiation, gifted and inherited property in divorce and alimony have appeared in the Massachusetts Family Law Journal and the Boston Bar Journal.  Jon has been a guest participant in family law classes at Boston College Law School and Suffolk Law School.

Jon has been named a New England Super Lawyer (formerly Massachusetts Super Lawyers) in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.

Jon is active in town affairs in Acton, where he resides, and most recently served as chairman of the Community Preservation Committee.

He is a graduate of C.W. Post College (1970) and Howard Law School (1974).
